Change blockstructured code to use mixins

Dominic Kempf requested to merge feature/geometry-mixins-blockstructured into feature/geometry-mixins

I promised @marcel.koch to push my attempts to apply the mixin philosophy from !287 (merged) to his blockstructured code. With a delay, here it is. While porting this, I got entangled a bit in how the control flow previously was (with backend calls etc.) and how it actually should be etc. Maybe you can have a look and give feedback on this mixin concept?
