Comment | The cmake does seems to be more intelligent about this. That's good enough for me. |
Description
The hdf5 m4 test in dune-common does not work in all situations. If the installed hdf5 version is "sequential" then everything is fine. But there are installations of hdf5 (e.g. the one aptitude gave me on my Debian system) where hdf5 depends on MPI. In that case, the m4 test only finds hdf5 if --enable-parallel is among the configure flags. That is counterintuitive because you need the flag even if you are not doing anything in parallel at all.
