implement seeding via config file
For my application I require a seedable random field generator. Do you have any plans for implementing user-defined seeds in the future?
I see that you implemented seeds via the system clock and increment the seed for every processor rank if run in parallel. Is this a technical limitation or would it be possible to implement a seeding scheme where the output of the generator is independent of the number of processes it is run on in parallel?
My wish would be that the result of the generator stays the same for a given configuration file, no matter how it is executed. If this does not work out, I at least require a generator that has the same output for subsequent equivalent program calls.
